Little Rock, Arkansas – Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has announced that the Governor’s Office is now accepting applications for its 2025 summer internship program. The internship, which is open to students interested in public service, will provide a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in state government while making a meaningful contribution to the people of Arkansas.
“Internships are a great way to serve the people of Arkansas – and to learn about a career in public service. I encourage students who are looking to make a real difference to apply,” said Governor Sanders, emphasizing the value of practical experience in shaping future leaders.
The internship program runs from June 2nd to July 25th, 2025, and interns will be expected to work approximately 30 hours a week. While the internship is unpaid, it offers participants the chance to work directly within the Governor’s office and engage with the various departments that help run state government.
Students applying for the internship can choose from several departments based on their interests, including:
• Advance & Coalitions
• Boards & Commissions
• Communications
• Constituent Services
• Legislative Affairs
•
This opportunity allows students to immerse themselves in the day-to-day operations of the Governor’s office, providing a behind-the-scenes look at how state government functions and how policies are shaped. Interns will gain valuable skills in communication, policy research, and governmental processes.
Those interested in applying must submit their applications by April 11th, 2025. Governor Sanders encouraged students who are passionate about public service and eager to make a difference in their community to apply. The program not only provides practical work experience but also the chance to network with professionals in the public sector.
