Arkansas Tech University now offers specialty ATU license plate for alumni students faculty and supporters

Russellville, Arkansas – Arkansas drivers now have the opportunity to show their pride for Arkansas Tech University with the introduction of a new ATU license plate, officials announced Friday. The specialty plate was created through a collaboration between Arkansas Tech University and the state’s Division of Finance and Administration, making it easier for alumni, students, faculty, staff, and supporters to display their connection to the university on their vehicles.

The ATU license plate is available at Arkansas revenue offices throughout the state, giving drivers a chance to support the university while on the road. “The ATU license plate allows our alumni and supporters to demonstrate their pride for the university while contributing to a meaningful cause,” university officials said. Each plate comes with an additional annual fee of $35, with $25 of that amount going directly to the ATU Alumni Association Scholarship Fund to support students financially.

For those who want a more personalized touch, Arkansas Tech also offers a personalized version of the license plate for an additional $25 per year. This option allows drivers to customize their plates with a unique combination of letters or numbers, while still contributing to the scholarship fund and showing their loyalty to the university. The personalized plates are available to alumni, faculty, staff, students, and supporters who wish to go beyond the standard ATU design.

The initiative not only provides a way for the university community to show school spirit but also creates a valuable funding source for student scholarships. By purchasing an ATU license plate, drivers are helping provide financial assistance to future Arkansas Tech students, furthering the university’s mission of supporting education and opportunity.

Those interested in learning more about the ATU license plate or exploring other specialty plates offered by the state can visit the Division of Finance and Administration’s specialty plates website. The site provides detailed information on availability, fees, and the steps required to obtain a plate, making it simple for residents to participate.
