Little Rock neighborhoods come together to celebrate community and camaraderie during National Night Out on Tuesday October 7

Little Rock, Arkansas – Little Rock neighborhoods will come alive with celebration and camaraderie on Tuesday, October 7, as the City hosts its annual National Night Out. This yearly event, designed to bring residents together and strengthen community bonds, will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at multiple locations throughout the city.

National Night Out offers residents the chance to reconnect with neighbors, meet new friends, and engage with local city departments and community organizations. The City of Little Rock is hosting the event at four major sites, allowing families and residents from diverse neighborhoods to participate and enjoy the festivities without traveling far from home.

“National Night Out is a celebration of our residents, neighborhoods, and everything that makes Little Rock the best place to live, work, and play,” said Mayor Frank Scott, Jr. “It is an opportunity to come together to see old friends and make new ones as we strengthen our communities.”

The four City-managed locations include MacArthur Park at 1000 McMath Drive, War Memorial Park near the Fair Park/Zoo Drive roundabout, Southwest Community Center at 6401 Baseline Road, and West Central Community Center at 8616 Colonel Glenn Road. Each location will feature food, games, and door prizes, providing a safe and fun environment for people of all ages to enjoy.

In addition to City-managed sites, other neighborhood groups across Little Rock are hosting their own National Night Out programming, further expanding the opportunity for residents to participate in their local communities. The event is not only a celebration but also a chance for residents to engage directly with law enforcement officers and city officials in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

The purpose of National Night Out extends beyond food and games. It serves as a platform to foster positive interactions between residents and public servants, helping strengthen community ties and improve neighborhood safety. Participants often find the event an excellent opportunity to share ideas, discuss local concerns, and build a network of support among neighbors.

Organizers emphasize that the success of National Night Out relies on participation from the community. By attending and engaging with neighbors, residents help create a stronger, more connected city. The event encourages everyone to come together, celebrate the uniqueness of their neighborhoods, and build relationships that can last year-round.

Whether it’s families enjoying a game, neighbors sharing a meal, or children excited about door prizes, National Night Out in Little Rock promises an evening filled with fun, connection, and a renewed sense of community spirit. Residents are encouraged to mark their calendars and join in the citywide celebration that highlights the best of what Little Rock neighborhoods have to offer.
