Fayetteville, Arkansas – A major change is coming to one of the most recognizable venues in Arkansas sports. The University of Arkansas announced Wednesday that Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium will be renamed CommunityAmerica Razorback Stadium starting with the 2027 football season, marking the result of a long-term partnership between the university and CommunityAmerica Credit Union.
The decision follows approval from the University of Arkansas trustees, who gave the green light for the athletics department to enter into the agreement earlier in the day. The partnership is set to officially begin on July 1, 2027, and will run for 13 years, signaling a long-term collaboration that extends far beyond naming rights.
While the stadium’s name will change, university officials emphasized that the agreement represents a broader investment in Arkansas Athletics. The deal was facilitated by Learfield and Razorback Sports Properties, both of which help manage corporate partnerships tied to collegiate athletics programs.
Under the terms of the agreement, CommunityAmerica Credit Union will become the Official Credit Union of Arkansas Athletics. The partnership also expands the company’s presence in Northwest Arkansas, a region where the university plays a central cultural and economic role.
“This is so much more than a name on a stadium. It’s about becoming part of the Razorback Nation experience and helping fans, students, student-athletes and the communities we and the university serve,” said Lisa Ginter, Chief Executive Officer of CommunityAmerica Credit Union. “Our members are at the heart of everything we do and when we evaluate partnerships like this, it starts with what matters most to them. The University of Arkansas is a powerful source of pride and connection for people across the state and in many of our markets. This partnership underscores our long-term commitment to Northwest Arkansas, where we look forward to growing our presence and helping more families achieve financial peace of mind. We’re already deepening our roots with plans for a campus location and several new branches throughout the region.”
The partnership is structured to include a wide range of initiatives beyond branding. CommunityAmerica will sponsor Arkansas Athletics directly, support Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) opportunities for student-athletes, and introduce financial education programs designed to help young athletes manage their earnings and long-term financial planning.
In addition, the SEC Club inside the stadium will be rebranded as the CommunityAmerica Club, further embedding the credit union’s identity within the game-day experience. The company also plans to introduce Razorback-branded financial products, including checking accounts, debit cards, and credit cards beginning in 2027.
University officials said the agreement is expected to benefit both the athletics program and its supporters in multiple ways. Arkansas Athletics Director Hunter Yurachek described the partnership as a long-term investment in the future of the university and its broader community.
“We are thrilled to welcome CommunityAmerica Credit Union as the Official Credit Union of Arkansas Athletics as one piece of a partnership that will benefit our student-athletes, fans and the state of Arkansas for years to come,” said Yurachek.
CommunityAmerica Credit Union, which was founded in 1940 and has historical ties to Arkansas dating back to 1968, has grown into one of the largest credit unions in the region. With nearly $10 billion in assets and more than 600,000 members, it currently ranks as the largest credit union in Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri.
University officials noted that the agreement reflects a growing trend in collegiate athletics, where partnerships are increasingly structured to include financial education, athlete development, and fan engagement initiatives in addition to traditional sponsorships.
Learfield Senior Vice President of Business Development Allison Fillmore described the deal as a significant milestone, calling it a “historic partnership” that will enhance both the fan experience and opportunities for student-athletes across the program.
During the trustees’ discussion and approval process, CommunityAmerica leadership also emphasized its commitment to community involvement and long-term regional investment. Lisa Ginter told trustees, “Everything we do is about community, being invested in the community,” and added that the credit union intends to give back “in a big way”.
As the 2027 season approaches, preparations will begin to transition branding across the stadium and integrate new partnership elements into Arkansas Athletics operations. While fans will still recognize the same home of Razorback football, the updated name and expanded partnership signal a new era in how the university engages with corporate partners and supports its athletic programs.
For many supporters, the change represents a notable shift in tradition, but for university and credit union leaders alike, it is framed as a forward-looking collaboration aimed at strengthening both the athletic department and the broader Arkansas community for years to come.
