Camden, Arkansas – Two teenagers from Arkansas are facing serious charges following a fatal shooting that took place in Camden on April 26. The Camden Police Department identified the suspects as 18-year-old Chris Arnold and 18-year-old Keegan Turner.
The incident occurred around 6:10 p.m. when officers responded to a call reporting two people shot at a home on Lincoln Drive. Upon arrival, police found two victims with gunshot wounds. Authorities quickly began providing aid to the victims. One of the victims, unfortunately, succumbed to his injuries and was transported to the Ouachita County Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. The other victim was taken to a medical facility in another town and is now listed in “stable condition.”
Police found five .40-caliber shell casings in the yard, along with two projectiles on the front porch of the home. Several other individuals were present at the time of the shooting, and they provided statements to authorities about the event. One of the witnesses said they had been outside with the deceased victim when the shooting occurred.
Following the investigation, Arnold has been charged with first-degree murder, first-degree battery, and aggravated robbery. He is currently being held on a $1 million bond. Turner, on the other hand, faces more severe charges, including capital murder, first-degree battery, terroristic act, aggravated robbery, and aggravated assault. He is being held without bond at this time.
The Camden Police Department worked closely with law enforcement agencies from Fayetteville and Springdale to help investigate the case.
