Little Rock residents are invited to engage with city resources and services at the Mobile City Hall event on Monday, May 5, 2025

Little Rock, Arkansas – On Monday, May 5, the City of Little Rock is offering a unique opportunity for residents to engage with city services and government officials right in their own community. The Mobile City Hall event, hosted at Saint Mark Baptist Church, 5722 W. 12th St., will bring a variety of city departments and resources to one location, making it easier for residents to access important services, learn about local programs, and interact with city leaders.

Starting at 5 p.m., the Mobile City Hall event will kick off with a wide range of city services available to the public. Whether you’re in need of a police report, looking to apply for a building permit, or seeking information about job opportunities, this event has something for everyone. This family-friendly gathering will also feature interactive activities such as displays of police, fire, and sanitation vehicles, zoo animals from the Little Rock Zoo, and fun recreational activities. Food trucks will be on hand to provide refreshments, making this a well-rounded community event.

A major highlight of the event will be the presence of all three Little Rock District Courts: traffic, environmental, and criminal. These courts will be available to answer any questions, assist with scheduling matters, and collect payments for fines. Judges Herbert T. Wright, Jr. (traffic court) and Mark Leverett (environmental court) will be on hand to address outstanding warrants in their respective courts, allowing residents to resolve any issues without the risk of arrest. This is a great opportunity for anyone with outstanding warrants to clear up their matters in a safe and stress-free environment.

For those interested in city employment, the Human Resources Department will be conducting “instant interviews” for various available positions with the City of Little Rock. This is an excellent opportunity for job seekers to meet with city representatives and potentially land a job on the spot. In addition, the Little Rock 311 team will be hosting a workshop on how to use the 311 service and its app, which is an essential tool for residents to request city services and report issues.

At 6 p.m., Mayor Frank Scott, Jr. will lead a community forum, where he will update residents on ongoing projects and the city’s progress. During this session, leaders from every city department will also be present to answer questions and take input from the community. The Mayor emphasized the importance of this initiative in bringing city services directly to residents. “With our Mobile City Hall initiative, we are taking City services into the community and offering residents the ability to do city business and engage with our team members at their convenience, all under one roof,” Mayor Scott said. “Come see us Monday at Saint Mark Baptist Church to learn more about what’s going on in Arkansas’s capital city and find out how City Hall is working every day to make Little Rock better and stronger.”

The Mobile City Hall event provides residents with a wide range of services that they can access without having to travel to City Hall. Some of the services available include:

• Obtaining or filing police reports
• Paying District Court fines
• Paying business license fees
• Applying for city jobs and participating in instant interviews
• Applying for building permits
• Learning more about grant opportunities such as Down Payment Assistance and the Neighborhood Challenge
• Filing code enforcement complaints
• Submitting 311 service requests
• Recycling electronic waste
• Interacting with animals from the Little Rock Zoo
• Participating in Parks and Recreation demonstrations
• Viewing city vehicles like fire trucks, police cars, and sanitation trucks

To add an element of excitement, attendees will have the chance to win door prizes throughout the evening. Prizes include free family passes to the Little Rock Zoo, day passes for the Jim Dailey Fitness and Aquatic Center, T-shirts, and more. These giveaways will add an extra layer of enjoyment to the already action-packed event.

The Mobile City Hall will take place in the Georgina Bolden Family Life Center at Saint Mark Baptist Church. The event is open to all Little Rock residents, and parking will be available in the Worship Center parking lot, which can be accessed from West 12th Street. The city encourages all residents to come out and take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to engage with city services and get involved in the future of their community.

This event reflects the city’s commitment to making municipal services more accessible and building stronger connections between the local government and its residents. By bringing the government to the people, Little Rock aims to foster greater engagement, address concerns, and improve the overall quality of life for its citizens. The Mobile City Hall initiative is a great step toward making local government more approachable and responsive to the needs of the community.
