Little Rock, Arkansas – The CARTI Auxiliary’s Festival of Trees has achieved an impressive milestone, raising nearly $870,000 to support Arkansas cancer patients and their families, and setting a new fundraising record for the second year in a row.
CARTI officials announced that over $100,000 will be allocated to enhance the clinical research program throughout the state, significantly improving residents’ access to vital therapies and treatments. Officials announced that the funding will enable the placement of research coordinators at CARTI Cancer Centers across the state.
“At CARTI, we are committed to the vision of ‘brighter tomorrows’ by ensuring that every Arkansan has access to reliable cancer care, including essential clinical trials,” stated Jennifer Selig, executive director of the CARTI Foundation. “The unwavering support from our community for events such as the Festival of Trees plays a crucial role in breaking down barriers, elevating patient outcomes, and enriching the quality of life for individuals in our state battling cancer.”
CARTI hosted its annual Festival of Trees event earlier this month at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock. The three-night extravaganza featured a heartwarming father-daughter dance, a stunning fashion runway show, and an elegant black-tie gala. Since its inception, officials have reported that the event has generated over $11 million in funds.
