Shannon Hills police continue urgent search for missing 16-year-old teen last seen on May 19

Shannon Hills, Arkansas – Authorities in Shannon Hills are asking the public for help as they continue their search for a missing teenager who has not been seen since mid-May. The case has drawn growing concern from the community as days pass without any confirmed sightings or updates.

According to police, 16-year-old Byron Carter was last seen on May 19 in the Shannon Hills area. Officials say that no one has reported seeing him since, and the circumstances surrounding his disappearance remain unclear.

Byron is described as a Black male with brown eyes and black hair. He stands approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 125 pounds. At this time, police have not released any information regarding what Byron was wearing when he was last seen or if he was believed to be traveling with anyone.

“There is a high level of concern for his safety,” Shannon Hills Police said in a brief public statement. Officers have not stated whether foul play is suspected but are actively seeking tips that could lead to his whereabouts.

Friends, family members, and members of the local community have begun sharing Byron’s photo across social media in the hope that someone might recognize him or have seen something relevant to the investigation. Many are hoping for a safe return as law enforcement continues to follow leads.

As the search continues, authorities ask that residents remain alert and check any surveillance footage or doorbell cameras in case they captured images of Byron around the time he went missing. The investigation is ongoing.
