Little Rock, Arkansas – Individuals not on the road are probably the ones getting ready for that grand Thanksgiving feast.
This Wednesday, grocery stores throughout the state are bustling with last-minute shoppers eager to secure their turkey and all the accompanying fixings.
“There’s a frenzy, a race against the clock to secure meals for tomorrow,” Rachael Floyd stated.
Last-minute shoppers are busy scanning their items in the grocery store.
“I’ve searched high and low across the town for eggs,” Loretta Thomas remarked. “The Kroger in my neighborhood, Chenal, had some.”
For some, it’s merely grabbing a few additional ingredients they might have overlooked, while for others, it’s about gathering everything needed for their entire feast.
“Indeed, it was a collection of forgotten ingredients,” Moya Jackson remarked. “I consider myself fortunate; my husband does the cooking, so I came to gather the ingredients based on the list he provided.”
Customers now have the convenience of ordering groceries online, as the Kroger team greets them at their vehicles, ready to load bags directly into their cars.
Kroger District 6 Manager Geoff Barter stated, “In the week before the holiday, we saw our pick-up order volume increase two to three times.”
Barter advises that the best strategy is to act quickly before everything is depleted.
Kroger will be open until 4 PM tomorrow for anyone needing to complete their last-minute shopping.
