Prior to the arrival of winter weather, shoppers stock up

Little Rock, Arkansas – Arkansans are heading to the grocery store to stock up on necessities due to the low temperatures and the possibility of snow and ice.

According to Rick Case, manager of the Drug Emporium, most of the items that customers would require for the winter months are moved in front of the store. Additionally, he reported that during the week, more people have been coming to the door.

“There is undoubtedly more traffic here,” Case stated.

Some consumers claim that they are purchasing necessities in case the weather turns out to be more severe than they anticipated.

“This is Arkansas, and you never know what’s going to happen,” one customer remarks. “Bread, meat, milk, and eggs because if you have your basic items, you can have a whole meal,” says another customer.

According to cashier Lynette Paraham, the customers she has been checking out have been receiving a wide range of things.

Paraham stated, “They’re coming in buying all the eggs, the milk, the butter, the cereal, the candy, or the ice cream.”

Even if it snows, Case said they will attempt to stay open, but they may change their hours.
