Pine Bluff police actively search for 20-year-old suspect wanted in early morning shooting on Old Warren Road

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – Authorities in Pine Bluff are actively searching for a 20-year-old man following a shooting early Wednesday morning that left one person injured on Old Warren Road. The incident occurred at 3402 Old Warren Road, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement.

The Pine Bluff Police Department identified the suspect as Akyell Malik Madison, who now faces multiple charges, including first-degree battery, aggravated assault, and discharging a firearm within city limits. Investigators confirmed that a rifle was used in the shooting, and officials are urging the public to consider Madison armed and dangerous.

Police have provided a physical description of Madison, noting that he is a Black male standing approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing around 180 pounds. Authorities warn residents to exercise caution and to avoid attempting to confront the suspect directly.
