The Trojans earned their spot in the national tournament with a thrilling 2-1 win over Eastern Illinois in Saturday’s OVC Championship Game. That victory marked the program’s first OVC tournament title and only its second NCAA tournament appearance in school history.
Saturday’s win was the culmination of a stunning underdog run. Entering the OVC tournament as the eighth seed, Little Rock strung together five straight victories in just four days to take the crown. Their persistence, grit, and team unity were on full display throughout the week.
Among the standout players was Cade Martin, who was named the 2025 OVC Baseball Tournament MVP following his clutch performances. Several other Trojans also received conference honors, as the OVC named Jackson Wells, Brody Bunting, Zach Henry, Cooper Chaplain, Alex Seguine, and Jack Cline to the all-tournament team alongside Martin.
