Elite runners, including Erin Woodward and Aaron Soltmann, confirmed for the 2025 Capital City Classic 10K set to take place on March 29

Little Rock, Arkansas – The countdown is on for the 45th annual Capital City Classic 10K, a race that promises to showcase some of the best talent in the running world while offering an exciting, community-focused event for all participants. Set to take place on March 29, 2025, this year’s event has already garnered attention with the announcement of its elite runners, including Erin Woodward, the 2024 female winner, and Aaron Soltmann, the 2025 Little Rock Marathon male winner.

Race officials revealed that the competition will be fierce, as $6,000 in total prize money will be up for grabs, with the top five male and female finishers each claiming their share. The race’s high stakes are expected to attract not only seasoned professionals but also aspiring athletes eager to make their mark.

Despite the presence of elite runners, organizers emphasize that the Capital City Classic 10K remains an event for everyone. “You get to see all different aspects of the city and there’s people lining the entire street so you’re never bored and you’re never without some cheers,” said Woodward, reflecting on the unique atmosphere of the race. She added, “So, I think it’s just important to celebrate our city and especially the athletes we have here locally.”

The race kicks off at 8 a.m., with the Kids Race starting at 7:30 a.m. Whether you’re an experienced runner or a first-timer, this event promises an exciting day full of energy, enthusiasm, and a true celebration of the city and its vibrant community.
