Conway police urge community to help locate man wanted in deadly double-fatality car crash that shocked the city

Conway, Arkansas – Authorities with the Conway Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted in connection with a deadly crash that claimed two lives earlier this month.

Officials identified the suspect as 20-year-old Kevin Black Jr., who is wanted in connection with a crash that occurred on October 15, 2023. Police say Black was driving a Nissan Altima around 5 a.m. when the vehicle ran off the road, crashed into a culvert, vaulted a driveway, and rolled over. Tragically, a man and a woman riding in the car with Black did not survive the accident.

Evidence gathered by investigators indicates that Black was intoxicated at the time of the crash. As a result, he is facing two counts of felony negligent homicide. “Kevin Black Jr. was given an opportunity to turn himself in, but he did not do so,” officials said, adding that the search is ongoing.

Police emphasized the seriousness of the situation and the danger posed by Black’s continued absence. Investigators are pursuing all leads and working to ensure that justice is served for the victims and their families.

The department also reminded the public to remain cautious and report any sightings of the suspect immediately. “We encourage the community to remain vigilant and to provide tips that could assist in bringing this case to a resolution,” officials said.
