Conway City Council to hold special meeting on Ward 2 vacancy

Conway, Arkansas – The Conway City Council will gather for a special meeting next week to address an important matter involving representation for one of the city’s council seats.

Mayor Bart Castleberry has officially called the special session to consider the vacancy for the Ward 2, Position 1 seat. The discussion is expected to focus on the next steps regarding the unfilled position and how the city plans to move forward with ensuring continued representation for residents of Ward 2.

The meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 30, beginning at noon. It will take place inside the City Council Chambers, where council members are expected to review the vacancy and discuss potential actions during the public session.

Residents who wish to follow the proceedings are encouraged to attend in person, as the meeting will be open to the public. City leaders routinely invite community participation during council meetings, allowing citizens to stay informed about decisions that affect local government and public representation.

In this case, the Ward 2, Position 1 vacancy represents a key item for city officials, as maintaining a full council is essential for conducting municipal business and ensuring every ward has a voice in local decision-making.
