Central Arkansas communities prepare for a full week of exciting events and fireworks to celebrate the 4th of July

Little Rock, Arkansas – Fireworks, music, family fun, and a whole lot of red, white, and blue — Central Arkansas is pulling out all the stops this year to celebrate Independence Day in grand style. From Little Rock to Heber Springs, communities across the region are offering a wide range of festive events for all ages, making it easy for residents and visitors alike to join in the patriotic fun.

The 4th of July marks the anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776, when the United States officially broke free from British rule. Since then, the day has become a symbol of national pride, celebrated with colorful displays, cookouts, concerts, and family gatherings.

This year, Central Arkansas is buzzing with events scheduled from July 2 through July 5, giving everyone plenty of opportunities to celebrate throughout the week.

Little Rock Set to Shine

Arkansas’ capital city will host several major events on July 4. One of the most anticipated is Pops on the River, taking place at the River Market from 5:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. Families can expect live music, food trucks, and fireworks to cap off the evening.

For early risers and fitness enthusiasts, the 2025 Firecracker Fast 5K will begin at 7:30 a.m. in Little Rock, offering a lively start to the day with runners and walkers showing off their patriotic flair.

Music lovers can head to The Rev Room for the Little Rock Liberty Jam, which kicks off at 7:30 p.m. Meanwhile, those seeking a more reflective experience can visit the Clinton Presidential Center, which will offer free admission and family-friendly activities from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

And for movie buffs, the CALS Ron Robinson Theater will host a special screening of Independence Day on Saturday, July 5 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., allowing the celebration to stretch just a little longer.

More Fireworks Across the Region

North Little Rock will bring the fun to Dickey-Stephens Park with July 4th at the Ballpark, where a baseball game and a post-game fireworks display promise an all-American evening starting at 4:35 p.m.

In Benton, the annual Red, White & Boom will light up the sky on July 3 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the 1800 Citizens Way parking lot. The city of Sherwood will join in with its own Balcony Blast on July 3 at 2201 East Kiehl Avenue, starting at 6:00 p.m.

Conway’s Lights Over The Lake at Beaverfork Lake Park will begin at 4:00 p.m. on July 3 and last through 10:00 p.m., featuring music, vendors, and fireworks by the lake.

Family Festivals and Fireworks in Smaller Communities

Jacksonville’s 10th Annual Liberty Fest will kick off the regional festivities on Wednesday, July 2, at Heritage Park and Little Rock Air Force Base from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with live entertainment, food, and fireworks.

Hot Springs will once again dazzle with its Independence Day fireworks display over Lake Hamilton near the Highway 7 South Bridge at sundown on July 4 — a scenic and breathtaking way to end the holiday.

In Pine Bluff, fireworks will light up the night sky at the Pine Bluff Regional Park at 9:00 p.m. on July 4, while Greers Ferry will host a full-day celebration at City Park from noon until 9:00 p.m.

On July 5, Heber Springs will wrap up the extended Independence Day weekend with Freedom Fest on the Lake 2025 at Sandy Beach. Fireworks are expected during the evening hours, offering one last chance to celebrate the spirit of freedom.

Patriotism and Community on Display

Across Central Arkansas, these events are more than just entertainment — they’re an expression of pride and unity. Communities are coming together to honor the nation’s founding with traditions that continue to bring people of all backgrounds together.

So whether you’re running in a 5K, watching fireworks from a lakeside beach, or enjoying live music in the city, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this 4th of July. With events scattered across several days, Arkansans have more reasons than ever to come out, celebrate freedom, and make lasting memories.
