Benton, Arkansas – After nearly two years of anticipation, Buc-ee’s has officially announced the opening date for its first-ever travel center in Arkansas, marking a major expansion for the popular roadside brand.

The new location, built along Interstate 30 in Benton, is set to welcome its first customers on Monday, August 17. According to company officials, doors will open to the public at 6 a.m., signaling the start of operations for what is expected to be a heavily visited travel stop from day one.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is also scheduled for later that morning at 10 a.m., adding a formal kickoff event to the long-awaited opening. Company representatives confirmed that the celebration will be open to the public, allowing early visitors and local residents to take part in the milestone.

The Benton travel center represents Buc-ee’s first entry into Arkansas, expanding its footprint further across the southern United States. Known for its large-scale facilities, wide product selection, and high-traffic highway locations, the brand has built a strong following among road travelers over the years.

While specific opening-day activities have not yet been fully detailed, the company said additional information is expected to be released in the weeks leading up to the event. That suggests more announcements may come regarding promotions, staffing, or special opening-day plans as the date approaches.

The new store’s location along Interstate 30 places it directly on a major travel route, making it accessible to both local drivers and long-distance travelers passing through central Arkansas. Officials anticipate strong interest once the doors open, especially given the long wait since the project was first announced.

For Benton and surrounding communities, the opening also signals a new commercial development along the interstate corridor, which has seen steady growth in recent years. The arrival of Buc-ee’s adds another high-profile stop for travelers in the region.

As the countdown continues, excitement is building among fans of the chain and local residents alike. With its early morning opening set for 6 a.m. and a public ribbon-cutting planned for 10 a.m., August 17 is expected to draw significant attention to the new Benton location as it officially joins Buc-ee’s expanding network of travel centers.
