North Little Rock, Arkansas – The Pulaski County Fair is heading into its final week and weekend, bringing one last round of rides, food, and family-friendly entertainment to North Little Rock before the season wraps up.
For many families across the region, the fair has become a seasonal tradition, offering a mix of carnival rides, classic fair food, and riverside views along the Arkansas River. As the closing days approach, organizers are focusing on affordability, with several discounted events designed to make the experience accessible to more visitors.
One of the biggest draws this week is “$2 Tuesday,” a long-running promotion that continues to be a favorite among fairgoers. It allows visitors to enter the fair for just $2, with select rides and games also available for $2 each.
Susan Prowse, who helps coordinate fair activities, said the promotion is meant to ensure that families of all sizes can enjoy the event without financial pressure.
“People will be able to get in for $2, ride the rides and play select games for $2, and it’s truly the best budget-friendly night,” Prowse said.
Beyond Tuesday’s discounted entry, the fair will continue offering savings throughout the week. Organizers have scheduled an armband special on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, allowing guests to enjoy unlimited rides for a set price. The deal is expected to draw steady crowds as the fair moves closer to its final weekend.
As Memorial Day weekend approaches, the fair will also honor military service members with special discounts, adding another layer of accessibility and appreciation during one of the busiest times of the event.
Prowse said the fair has already seen a strong opening week, with large crowds and steady participation across rides, food vendors, and entertainment areas. She noted that weather conditions remain an important factor as the final week unfolds.
“We just had a wonderful opening week and were hoping the weather will cooperate with us this week,” Prowse said. “One of my favorite things is watching people grab the food they love and then head over to the banks of the river with that Little Rock skyline in the background.”
That riverside setting has long been part of the fair’s appeal, offering visitors a rare combination of carnival atmosphere and scenic views. Families often gather near the water after enjoying food from vendors, creating a relaxed end to an otherwise energetic day.
Food remains one of the fair’s biggest attractions, with traditional favorites and unique fair-style offerings drawing steady lines throughout the grounds. Combined with rides, games, and nightly activity, the fair continues to serve as a seasonal gathering point for the community.
As the final week begins, organizers are encouraging residents not to miss the last chance to experience the event. With discounted nights, family specials, and a scenic location along the river, the Pulaski County Fair is expected to close out its season with another strong turnout.
For North Little Rock families, it’s one more opportunity to enjoy a simple tradition — affordable entertainment, familiar food, and summer nights by the water before the fairgrounds go quiet for another year.
