Jefferson County sheriff addresses temporary issue affecting online jail roster display and release information

feaJefferson County, Arkansas – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has issued a public notice regarding a temporary technical issue affecting the online jail roster displayed on the W.C. “Dub” Brassell Detention Center’s website. The problem, which came to light on the morning of December 7, 2025, has caused the public-facing roster to show incorrect release information for detainees.

The issue stems from a syncing problem between the jail management software (JMS) Tiger Track, developed by Tiger Correctional Services, and the county’s public website, which was created by Brooks-Jeffrey. As a result of the technical glitch, the online roster currently shows most detainees as having been released at 12:33 a.m. on the day of the announcement.

Jail officials stress that this information is inaccurate and purely a display error. “We want to be absolutely clear: there has been no large-scale release of detainees, and public safety has not been compromised,” said Jail Administrator, Chief Deputy Jimmy “Bo” Hudson. “This is a display and communications error only, and all internal records and headcounts remain accurate.”

Internal checks confirm that all detainees remain correctly listed as “incarcerated” in the Tiger Track system. The system continues to track intake, roster details, and other aspects of booking without issue. The sheriff’s office emphasized that this is strictly a technical communications error and does not reflect any actual change in detainee status.

A support ticket has been submitted to Tiger Correctional Services, which is actively working to resolve the problem and restore accurate information to the public-facing website. Until the issue is fully corrected, residents seeking accurate jail roster information can access the current and correct detainee count at a dedicated link maintained directly by Tiger Track: https://tcsi-roster.azurewebsites.net/Default.aspx?i=15&code=jeffersonAR&type=roster

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reminded the public that the online jail roster has always carried a disclaimer regarding its accuracy. The information displayed is provided for the convenience of visitors, and the W.C. “Dub” Brassell Detention Center cannot certify the accuracy or authenticity of any content on the site. Users are advised not to rely solely on the public-facing roster when making decisions or taking action.

The longstanding disclaimer also notes that neither Jefferson County, the Sheriff, the web development supplier, nor the detention center employees can be held liable for decisions or consequences resulting from reliance on the online roster. While the system is designed to provide timely information, it is intended as a supplementary resource rather than a definitive record.

Chief Deputy Hudson reassured the community that internal operations have not been affected, and all safety protocols and procedures remain in place. “All internal records remain up-to-date, and the staff continues to maintain accurate counts and monitor detainees,” he said. “We take the accuracy of our records seriously and are working to restore full functionality to the public site as quickly as possible.”

The temporary display issue highlights the challenges of integrating specialized correctional software with public-facing websites. While Tiger Track efficiently handles internal jail management, occasional syncing problems can lead to misleading information for visitors relying on the online roster. Officials emphasize that the correction process is underway and that public access to accurate information is a top priority.

Residents with questions or concerns about the jail roster are encouraged to visit the Tiger Track-maintained page or contact the sheriff’s office directly. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office continues to monitor the situation and will provide updates as the issue is resolved.
