Mosaic Templars Cultural Center invites bakers and community members to the 12th annual Say It Ain’t Say’s Sweet Potato pie contest in Little Rock

Little Rock, Arkansas – Sweet potato pie lovers and baking enthusiasts across the Natural State are gearing up for a festive afternoon of sugar, spice, and community spirit. On Sunday, November 9, the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center will host its 12th annual “Say It Ain’t Say’s Sweet Potato” pie contest, bringing together bakers from across Arkansas to compete for the coveted title of Central Arkansas’s best sweet potato pie.

The event, scheduled from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., invites both participants and spectators to enjoy a lively celebration of culinary skill and holiday cheer. Contestants will showcase their sweet potato pies, hoping to impress both the judges and the attending public. Guests will have the opportunity to sample the entries and cast their votes for the People’s Choice Award, making the afternoon as interactive as it is delicious.

This year, the competition carries an added layer of generosity. Every contestant is required to bring a new, unopened toy to support the Robert “Say” McIntosh STOP the Violence Toy Drive. The initiative ensures that the holiday season brings joy to children in need while connecting the local community around a shared cause. The combination of food, music, and charitable giving promises to make this year’s contest both entertaining and meaningful.

“Say It Ain’t Say’s Sweet Potato pie contest has become a cherished tradition in Central Arkansas,” said a spokesperson for the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center. “It’s about more than just baking—it’s about bringing our community together, celebrating our culture, and giving back during the holiday season.”
