Hot Springs arena football team begins a new chapter by rebranding as the Arkansas Diamonds after one season as the Wiseguys

Hot Springs, Arkansas – A new era of professional arena football is beginning in Arkansas. Just one year after the launch of the Hot Springs Wiseguys, the team is changing its name and brand identity. Moving forward, fans will know them as the Arkansas Diamonds, a rebrand that the organization says reflects its growth and a broader vision that extends beyond city limits.

From Local Roots to Statewide Reach

The franchise made its debut in 2024 as the Wiseguys, quickly earning attention with a bold name and competitive play. In only their first season, the team fought its way into championship contention, establishing a reputation that went far beyond what many expected from a newcomer. But while the Wiseguys name carried them through their inaugural campaign, leadership decided it was time to create a brand that could represent all of Arkansas.

“When we began this journey as the Hot Springs Wiseguys, it was about more than just a name. It was about planting a seed,” the Arkansas Diamonds said in a statement online. “The promise of bringing professional arena football to a community that deserved to be recognized, celebrated, and united around something bigger than itself. Hot Springs gave us that chance. You welcomed us, believed in us, and together we proved that football in Arkansas could be more than a dream.”

Keeping Hot Springs at the Center

The team emphasized that the rebrand does not mean a relocation. Hot Springs will remain the home of the Diamonds, serving as the foundation for what the organization hopes will become a statewide movement.

“[Hot Springs] will always be our home, our foundation, and the place where the story began,” the team said. “As the Arkansas Diamonds, we are opening the doors to the entire state. We want every Arkansan from the Delta to the Ozarks, from Little Rock to the Bentonville to feel that this is their team. We want Hot Springs to stand as a destination for professional football, a place where the state gathers under one roof, one name, one shared vision.”

That vision reflects a strategy seen in other sports, where teams embrace regional names to grow their fan bases. By becoming the Arkansas Diamonds, the team hopes to attract supporters across the state while keeping Hot Springs as the hub of its operations.

Fan Engagement Through Rebrand

To help fans transition into the new identity, the Diamonds announced plans for a trade-in day, an event where supporters who bought Wiseguys merchandise will be able to exchange it for new Diamonds gear. The team has not yet shared a date for the promotion but said details will be released soon.

The gesture highlights the organization’s effort to show loyalty to its early supporters while also building excitement for what lies ahead. Fans who were there from the beginning will be able to carry their pride forward without leaving their investments behind.

Looking Ahead

The Arkansas Diamonds step into their second season with high expectations and a broader mission. Their first year showed that arena football could succeed in Hot Springs, but their new brand aims to unite an even larger community. With a name inspired by the state’s official gem, the team hopes to shine just as brightly as the athletes on the field.

By keeping Hot Springs as its anchor while inviting Arkansans from every corner to join in, the Diamonds are betting on football to become more than a local attraction. They want it to be a rallying point for an entire state—a place where fans gather, cheer, and see themselves reflected in the team’s name.

As the Arkansas Diamonds prepare for their next season, one thing is clear: the foundation has been laid, the vision has expanded, and the future of arena football in Arkansas looks brighter than ever.
