Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders visits Switzerland to meet with major companies and strengthen economic ties

Little Rock, Arkansas – As part of a recent overseas trade mission, Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders wrapped up her international travels with a visit to Switzerland, where she met with several leading Swiss companies and business leaders.

Sanders’ trip included meetings with major corporations that already have a footprint in Arkansas, such as Glencore, ABB, and Nestlé. During her time in Switzerland, she personally thanked these companies for their continued investment in the Natural State and emphasized Arkansas’ commitment to growing its global business relationships.

In addition to the corporate visits, the governor also joined a fireside chat hosted by the Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce, where she discussed Arkansas’ economic goals and the importance of building strong partnerships with international investors. The event provided an opportunity for Sanders to highlight the state’s pro-business environment and attract potential future investments.

“To wrap up her overseas trade mission, Sanders visited Switzerland and met with prominent Swiss businesses, including Glencore, ABB and Nestlé, to express her gratitude for their continued investment and presence in the Natural State.”

This stop in Switzerland marked the final leg of the governor’s multi-country trade mission. Before arriving there, Sanders spent time in France, where she took part in the Paris Air Show, a major global event that brings together aerospace and defense leaders. While in France, she also visited Normandy to pay her respects to fallen American soldiers, connecting international diplomacy with a moment of historical remembrance.

Sanders has made it clear that she wants to expand the state’s global reach and ensure that Arkansas is seen as a serious player in attracting foreign investment.

While her trip is now complete, the conversations started in Europe are expected to continue back home, as Sanders and her team follow up on the connections made abroad. Her visit to Switzerland was not only symbolic but also practical, reflecting a strategic push to keep Arkansas competitive in the global economy.
