Camp Robinson officials issue a noise alert for local residents due to a week-long military training exercise

North Little Rock, Arkansas – Residents near Camp Robinson are being advised to prepare for loud noises in the coming days as military training exercises take place from Monday, June 23 through Sunday, June 29. Camp Robinson officials have issued a public notice to inform local communities about the expected sounds of military activities, which may extend beyond the camp’s perimeter.

The ongoing training exercises are part of routine military operations, and officials have acknowledged that such activities can cause disruptions. “We understand that some aspects of ongoing military training [create] disruptive noise and ground vibration concerns,” said a statement from Camp Robinson. “And, as a concerned partner, we endeavor to keep our neighbors near the post informed when such external effects can be expected.”

According to Camp Robinson, the noise generated from the training could travel beyond the base and affect surrounding neighborhoods. Residents in nearby areas may experience loud sounds, including vehicle noises and loud explosions. The noise is expected to be a regular occurrence throughout the week, potentially disrupting the peace in local communities.

While Camp Robinson has made efforts to notify residents ahead of time, officials have urged the public to understand that these activities are part of vital training for military readiness. The training will run daily throughout the week, with sound levels expected to vary depending on the exercises being conducted.

Local residents are encouraged to stay informed about the training schedule, especially if they have concerns regarding the noise. Camp Robinson remains in close communication with community leaders to ensure any disturbances are minimized and that the public is fully aware of the situation.
