Winning $1.3 million Arkansas LOTTO ticket sold in Fort Smith remains unclaimed as officials urge players to check tickets

Fort Smith, Arkansas – A winning Arkansas LOTTO ticket worth an astonishing $1.338 million is sitting unclaimed, leaving lottery officials puzzled and hopeful that the lucky ticket holder will soon come forward.

The winning ticket was sold at a Casey’s store in Fort Smith for the October 15 drawing, according to the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery. The winning numbers for that draw were 1, 5, 23, 30, 32, and 40, with the bonus number 33. Despite nearly a week having passed since the draw, no one has yet stepped up to claim the prize.

Officials are reminding players across the state to double-check their tickets, as the clock is ticking. Under Arkansas law, winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize. If the ticket remains unclaimed after that period, the winnings will return to the lottery fund, which supports college scholarships for Arkansas students.

“This is a life-changing amount of money,” an Arkansas Lottery spokesperson said. “We encourage everyone who purchased a ticket in Fort Smith for the October 15 drawing to take a careful look—you might be the winner and not even know it.”

Lottery players can verify their tickets by visiting any authorized retailer, using the official Arkansas Lottery mobile app, or checking online at MyArkansasLottery.com.

While the mystery winner remains unknown, the LOTTO jackpot has already reset to $250,000 for the upcoming Saturday night drawing. The game, introduced in 2022, has quickly become a favorite among Arkansans because it’s drawn exclusively within the state, giving local players better odds compared to multi-state games like Powerball or Mega Millions.

As anticipation builds, the Casey’s location where the winning ticket was sold is drawing extra attention. Employees say several regular customers have stopped by to check their tickets or ask questions about the unclaimed prize.

For now, the winning ticket remains a mystery — and so does the new Arkansas millionaire who may not yet realize they’re holding a fortune.
