Little Rock, Arkansas – Second Lady Usha Vance will join Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders in Central Arkansas on October 20 for a visit focused on education, with stops planned at a North Little Rock elementary school and the Governor’s Mansion.

According to information from the governor’s office reported by THV11, Vance and Sanders will visit Glenview Elementary School, where they are scheduled to host an education roundtable and lead an assembly for the student body.

The school visit will bring the second lady and governor together for two distinct activities: a discussion centered on education and a gathering involving Glenview’s students. Both are part of the same day’s schedule in Central Arkansas.

The roundtable will provide the discussion portion of the school stop, while the assembly will bring Vance and Sanders before the student body. The report did not identify the roundtable’s participants or outline the specific subjects they will address.

Details about the assembly’s program were also not included in the announcement. The confirmed schedule places both activities at Glenview Elementary before the day’s events shift from North Little Rock to Little Rock.

Later that afternoon, Vance and Sanders will host a reception at the Governor’s Mansion recognizing Arkansas educators who have earned bonuses through the Merit Teacher Incentive Fund.

The reception will focus on those educators and their recognition through the fund. The report did not name the teachers who will attend or specify how many recipients are expected at the mansion.

Together, the scheduled appearances connect a visit to an elementary school with a separate event honoring teachers. The school activities will involve an education discussion and student assembly, while the afternoon reception will recognize educators who have already earned the incentive bonuses.

The visit is scheduled for Tuesday, October 20. Specific start times for the Glenview Elementary activities and the Governor’s Mansion reception were not provided in the report.
