Two people are killed in a Jacksonville fire on Saturday morning

Jacksonville, Arkansas – Two persons have died in a house fire that started early Saturday morning, according to Jacksonville police officials.

Investigators say that when Jacksonville firemen and police arrived at a structure fire in the 100 block of Willshire Cove at 1:34 a.m., they found one individual trapped inside.

According to investigators, a second person managed to flee the fire but returned to the flaming house to get her dog.

According to the police, firefighters entered the house to look for the occupants and put out the fire.

They stated they managed to get inside and found the deaths of Marilyn Evans, 73, and Janifer Moore, 53.

According to investigators, there is now no suspicion of foul play.
