This summer, the Conway Community Center is anticipated to open

Conway, Arkansas – In what they claim has been a long time coming, Conway is getting ready to launch its new community center in the summer of 2025.

Bobby Kelly, the City of Conway’s spokesperson, stated, “The Mayor talks about whenever he was a kid in the 1970s hearing discussion about how Conway needs a public place like that.”
That dream will shortly come true, some fifty years later.

Voters decisively passed a bond proposal to build it back in early 2022, Kelly said.

According to Kelly, “it’s going to add another destination for folks in Conway and folks outside of Conway too.” “However, it will give us another amenity to offer so that families and children can enjoy themselves.”

The community center will have pickleball and volleyball facilities in addition to an indoor and outdoor pool. In addition, there will be a gym and spaces for gatherings, meetings, and other activities.

Recently, the city posted the membership and day pass prices on its Facebook page and online. Adult daily passes cost about $7, while adult annual passes cost about $385.

Additionally, they give deals for family passes and savings for the elderly and children. Kelly stated that setting the price correctly was a top concern.

“We must ensure that we do not charge individuals to attend,” he stated. “We must recover our expenses and make every effort to break even, correct? However, we want everyone to be able to attend.

The most costly choice is a $660 annual membership for the whole family.

This summer is when the center is expected to open for business. Given that building is still occurring, Kelly stated that this is the most precise date that can be provided at this time.
He believes the facility will become a Conway mainstay once it opens.

Kelly remarked, “Game changer sounds cliche.” “But I think it’s going to be transformational in the sense that we won’t be able to imagine a Conway without it when we look back on this.”
According to Kelly, the city will start accepting membership applications in late spring and hiring staff for the facility in February.
