Conway, Arkansas – With the groundbreaking of its new hanger on Monday afternoon, the University of Central Arkansas Aviation Academy is reaching new heights.
At the Conway Regional Airport, state and local officials, including Governor Sanders, joined school officials to break ground on the new 10,000-square-foot hangar.
The UCA Foundation, private and public contributors, and governmental finances have made the future hangar possible. It will house the academy’s instructors, students, and aircraft.
About 55 students are enrolled in the aviation program at the moment, but that number will shortly rise to 100.
