The city intends to buy land for a new park

Jonesboro, Arkansas – In order to establish a brand-new park, the city of Jonesboro is hoping to acquire land.

The city is interested in purchasing land located at 1700 Disciple Drive, which is currently owned by Journey Church, as stated on the agenda for the upcoming meeting of the Finance and Administration Council.

In October, the city was awarded a grant of one million dollars by the National Park Services of the United States Department of the Interior under the Outdoor Recreation Legacy Program in order to construct a new park.

This is a result of the city recognizing that there is a deficiency of neighborhood park space in the region.

At the meeting that will take place on Tuesday, December 10 at four o’clock in the afternoon, the Finance and Administration Council is anticipated to present this decision.
