The Butterball facility in Jonesboro will close

Jonesboro, Arkansas – On February 3, 2025, Butterball LLC. announced that the Jonesboro location would close, impacting approximately 180 employees.

The business said in a statement that it informed plant employees of the shutdown during a town hall meeting on December 4.

The CEO and president, Jay Jandrain, stated, “We are dedicated to supporting our team members as they decide on their next career steps.”

According to the statement, team members who continue to work until their planned end-of-service date in compliance with the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notifications Act would still be compensated and get medical benefits.

Products from other Butterball facilities are delivered to the Jonesboro facility for processing, packaging, and shipping.
