‘Squatch Till You Drop’ is a first-ever 5K in Little Rock that will become an annual event

Little Rock, Arkansas- Although there were no reports of Sasquatch sightings, runners gathered at Allsopp Park for the inaugural “Squatch Till You Drop” 5K.

There were two races during the event: the “Squatch Run” for competitors 16 years of age and up, and a one-lap fun run for everyone. In the latter, runners had six hours to finish as many laps around the 2.5-mile track as they could.

“It supports Little Rock Parks and Recreation and, as I mentioned, it’s a great way to highlight this park and get more people out using and enjoying our parks,” stated Mike Simmons, the outdoor recreational coordinator for Little Rock Parks and Recreation.

Race organizers emphasized the event’s function in showcasing the city’s lovely parks and stated their goal to make it an annual tradition.
