Razorback football unveils official kickoff times for first three games of the 2025 season including Alabama A&M, Arkansas State and Ole Miss

Fayetteville, Arkansas – With anticipation building for another season of Razorback football, fans now know when to set their clocks for the opening stretch of the 2025 campaign. The University of Arkansas has officially announced kickoff times for its first three matchups of the season, giving a glimpse into the early rhythm of Head Coach Sam Pittman’s sixth year leading the program.

The Razorbacks will begin their season at home on Saturday, August 30, when they host Alabama A&M at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. and the game will air on SEC Network. This will mark the first-ever meeting between the two programs.

“The Hogs officially kick off the 2025 football season against Alabama A&M at 3:15 p.m. on SEC Network,” the team confirmed in the announcement. For fans eager to see the Razorbacks return to the field, the late-afternoon start time provides an opportunity to enjoy an early-season home game without the intensity of midday heat.

A week later, Arkansas will head down to Little Rock for another first-time matchup, this time against in-state opponent Arkansas State. The September 6 contest will take place at War Memorial Stadium, with kickoff set for 4 p.m. The game will be streamed on ESPN+ and SECN+, making it accessible to viewers across the country.

This marks a rare in-state battle between the Razorbacks and the Red Wolves—two programs that, despite sharing geography, have never faced off in football. The matchup adds a fresh element of excitement to the early-season slate and gives fans in Central Arkansas a chance to see the team up close.

Southeastern Conference (SEC) play begins the following weekend with a key road test. On September 13, Arkansas travels to Oxford to face Ole Miss in a prime-time showdown. The league opener will kick off in the evening, with a tentative start time of either 6 or 6:45 p.m. on ESPN or SEC Network.

“Game time for the league-opener will be in the night window at 6 or 6:45 p.m. on ESPN or SEC Network,” the team said, giving fans a reason to prepare for an electric Saturday night under the lights. The matchup is expected to be one of the marquee SEC games that weekend.

These three matchups set the tone for what promises to be an action-packed season for the Razorbacks. Following the early trio of games, Arkansas will travel to Memphis on September 20 before returning home for a high-profile clash with Notre Dame on September 27. The home schedule continues with SEC games against Texas A&M, Auburn, and Mississippi State in October.

“The Aggies are set to make their first trip to Fayetteville since 2013,” adding another layer of significance to the home stretch of conference play.

As the season nears its end, the Hogs will face a challenging trio of rivalry games, starting with road trips to LSU and Texas on November 15 and 22, respectively. The regular season will close on November 29 with a home game against longtime rival Missouri.

While fans are already circling dates like Notre Dame and Texas on their calendars, the release of these initial kickoff times helps bring the full picture of the 2025 season into focus. With a balanced mix of historic firsts, classic SEC battles, and meaningful in-state showdowns, the early season offers plenty to be excited about.

With Coach Pittman leading the charge and the team looking to make noise both in and out of conference play, the countdown to August 30 has officially begun. Razorback Nation now has a schedule—and kickoff times—to start planning for.
