Professional pickleball tournament set to make its debut in Little Rock this October with players from across the country

Little Rock, Arkansas – Little Rock is preparing to host its first-ever professional pickleball tournament this October, giving the city’s growing pickleball community a chance to come together for a weekend of competitive play and entertainment. The Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) will bring the PPA Tour Challenger Series to the capital city with the Rock City Rally Metro PPA Challenger, set to take place October 10-12 at the Little Rock Athletic Club.

The three-day event promises action for both professional and amateur athletes. Friday will feature men’s and women’s singles matches, followed by gender doubles on Saturday, and concluding with mixed doubles on Sunday. Each event comes with a $10,000 prize pool, making it a high-stakes competition for participants. PPA officials estimate that between 300 and 600 players will register for the tournament, offering an exciting mix of skill levels and playing styles.

“All professionals and amateur players will receive a grounds pass with their fee to participate,” officials said, highlighting the inclusive nature of the event. For those interested in competing, registration is open through PickleballTournaments.com.

The Rock City Rally is not only a chance for athletes to showcase their talents but also an opportunity for friends, families, and fans to enjoy the excitement of competitive pickleball. Spectators can purchase tickets at TIXR.com, and the tournament promises a lively atmosphere for attendees of all ages.

Pickleball, a sport that blends elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis, has grown rapidly in popularity across the United States. Its unique name, often sparking curiosity, stems from a combination of the sport’s origins and its quirky early history—not from a dog as some might assume. The Rock City Rally represents a chance for local enthusiasts to experience high-level competition firsthand while connecting with the national pickleball community.
