Person struck and killed by train in Conway as police investigate deadly collision near Parkway Street and Mill Street

Conway, Arkansas – A tragic accident unfolded Wednesday morning in Conway after a person was struck and killed by a train, prompting an immediate response from local authorities. Police said the collision occurred just before noon near the intersection of Parkway Street and Mill Street.

Officials confirmed that the victim was on the tracks at the time of the collision and died at the scene. “Our hearts go out to the family and friends of the victim during this incredibly difficult time,” a spokesperson for the Conway Police Department said. The train crew involved in the incident was reported to be unharmed.

Conway police have launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident. Officers are gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and reviewing surveillance footage in an effort to piece together what happened. The department emphasized the need for patience as the investigation continues.
