One person taken to the hospital after a shooting at the Outlets of Little Rock on Thursday afternoon

Little Rock, Arkansas – A shooting at the Outlets of Little Rock on Thursday afternoon left one person hospitalized, according to the Little Rock Police Department.

Authorities responded quickly to reports of gunfire at the shopping center, where they discovered one person suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency responders transported the individual to a nearby hospital. Officials later confirmed that the victim is in stable condition.

The incident sparked concern among shoppers and store employees, many of whom were present when the shooting occurred. Several stores temporarily closed their doors as police secured the area and began their investigation.

So far, no details have been released about a suspect or any arrests made. However, investigators believe the situation was not a random act of violence.

“Preliminary information points to it being an isolated incident between two people,” police said in a brief statement.

While police continue to gather evidence, they have not shared any further information about what led to the altercation or whether the individuals involved knew each other.

The Outlets of Little Rock, a popular retail destination located just off Interstate 30, remained open later in the day, though with heightened police presence and caution from some shoppers.

Residents in the area have expressed growing concern over safety in public spaces. Thursday’s shooting adds to a list of recent violent incidents that have raised questions about security measures at local gathering spots.

Little Rock police are urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward as the investigation remains active.

As of now, the motive remains unclear and police have not indicated whether surveillance footage has been reviewed or potential witnesses have been identified. Updates from the department are expected in the coming days.

Officials are asking the public to stay alert and report any suspicious activity that might assist in resolving the case.
