Ollie’s Bargain Outlet set to open first Jonesboro location in former Big Lots store on Woodsprings Road

Jonesboro, Arkansas – Shoppers in Jonesboro will soon have a new destination for discounted goods as Ollie’s Bargain Outlet prepares to open its first store in the city. The popular discount retailer, known for its motto “good stuff cheap,” will occupy the vacant Big Lots location on Woodsprings Road.

The store will be located at 1907 Woodsprings Rd, taking over the 30,000-square-foot space left empty after Big Lots closed its doors. While an exact opening date has not been announced, local officials and real estate partners say preparations are underway to bring the national chain to the area.

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet is known for offering a wide variety of discounted merchandise, ranging from home goods, electronics, and hardware to snacks, sporting goods, and more. Shoppers can expect an assortment of products at bargain prices, continuing the chain’s reputation for affordability and variety.

Garrett McPherson, CCIM, who worked on the project, highlighted the strategic opportunity the location presented. “When Big Lots announced its closures, we immediately recognized the potential for Ollie’s in this corridor,” McPherson said. “This lease not only fills a key vacancy but also brings a dynamic national retailer to Jonesboro. It’s been rewarding to see the collaboration between our team, the ownership, and Location CRE to help make this happen.”

The deal to bring Ollie’s to Jonesboro was brokered by Legacy Realty Group Commercial and reportedly took more than a year to finalize. The long-term effort reflects the careful planning required to secure a national tenant for a high-visibility retail corridor.

Community members and shoppers are expressing excitement about the arrival of Ollie’s, which has gained popularity in other states for its deep discounts and constantly changing inventory.

Local business observers say the store could help drive additional traffic to the area, benefiting neighboring retailers and creating new opportunities for the corridor’s development.

As the city awaits the opening, officials encourage residents to stay tuned for announcements regarding the store’s grand opening and promotional events. Once operational, Ollie’s Bargain Outlet promises to bring a mix of affordable goods and everyday bargains to Jonesboro shoppers, making it a notable addition to the city’s retail landscape.
