North Little Rock, Arkansas – North Little Rock police have released the names of a husband and wife involved in a deadly shooting Tuesday morning, as investigators continue working to determine what led to the incident.
Officers were called to the 5600 block of Green Valley Avenue after receiving a report of a shooting. When police arrived, they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound at the location.
The woman was identified as 48-year-old Kwashunda Watson of North Little Rock. She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the North Little Rock Police Department.
Police also arrested 47-year-old Glen Watson at the scene. Officials later confirmed that Glen and Kwashunda Watson were husband and wife.
Glen Watson remains in custody at the Pulaski County Regional Detention Center. He is facing one charge of capital murder in connection with the shooting.
Authorities have not released additional details about what happened before the shooting or what may have led to the deadly incident. The investigation is still active, and detectives are continuing to gather information.
