North Little Rock job fair offers openings in management mechanics and other exciting career opportunities for job seekers

North Little Rock, Arkansas – Job seekers across Central Arkansas have a chance to connect with local employers and explore exciting career opportunities this weekend at a job fair hosted at the MPBC Family Life Center. The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 800 Page Mill Rd., North Little Rock, and is open to recent graduates, career changers, and experienced professionals looking for a new direction. Admission is free, and the fair is designed to create direct connections between employers and prospective employees across multiple industries.

Among the participating employers is Take 5 Oil Change, which is looking for Oil Change Team Members to join their growing crew. Located at 1324 Main St., Cabot, AR, Take 5 is offering full-time positions that require no previous experience. Interested applicants will receive training to become lube technicians, learning how to change oil, replace wiper blades and air filters, fill air in tires, and perform light maintenance services.

“Some of our most successful lube technicians are those that joined the team with no experience at all,” said a spokesperson for Take 5 Oil Change. The company noted that many team members have backgrounds as restaurant workers, retail employees, landscapers, or mechanics, and the company provides paid training to help employees advance into leadership positions. Indeed, over 90% of Take 5 Shop Managers started as lube techs, demonstrating the company’s commitment to internal growth.

Take 5 Oil Change offers up to $15 per hour with base pay and commissions, full-time and flexible schedules, same-day pay through myFlexPay, free oil changes, paid time off for full-time employees, and health, vision, and dental insurance. Employees are expected to maintain cleanliness, provide excellent customer service, and handle various vehicle maintenance tasks, including draining motor oil, performing coolant exchanges, and restocking inventory.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old (16 in certain states), able to lift up to 50 pounds, and comfortable performing physical tasks such as walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and maneuvering in and out of shallow pits. Reliable transportation is also required, and the work may involve exposure to hot or cold weather conditions.

In addition to Take 5 Oil Change, the City of Conway is recruiting for an Aquatics Coordinator to oversee daily operations and programming at the Conway Community Center’s pools. The position offers an annual salary of $51,500 and requires a broad range of responsibilities, including hiring, training, and supervising lifeguards, implementing safety protocols, managing pool chemical and filtration systems, and providing swim lessons and aquatic programs.

“The Aquatics Coordinator will play a key role in developing a robust aquatics program and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all participants,” said a City of Conway spokesperson. Preferred candidates will hold certifications such as Red Cross Certified Lifeguard Instructor, CPR/First Aid, or Certified Pool Operator. The role also requires a valid Arkansas Driver’s License and availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and during city events.

Job seekers attending the fair will have the opportunity to meet with employers, submit applications, and ask questions about job duties, pay, and career advancement opportunities. With a diverse mix of industries represented, including management, mechanics, aquatics, and public service, attendees can explore multiple pathways to start or advance their careers.

The North Little Rock job fair is part of a broader effort to connect employers with talented local candidates in a setting that encourages interaction, networking, and career exploration. Whether someone is just entering the workforce, seeking a career change, or looking to grow within their current field, the fair provides a centralized location to learn about available positions and meet hiring representatives directly.

In addition to Take 5 Oil Change and the City of Conway, other employers are expected to participate, offering positions in management, skilled trades, customer service, and technical roles. Job seekers are encouraged to bring resumes, dress professionally, and prepare to discuss their skills and experience with potential employers.

With positions ranging from entry-level to management, the fair reflects the growing demand for skilled, motivated employees across Central Arkansas, while also highlighting companies committed to training, development, and employee advancement.
