Little Rock, Arkansas – The fifth annual Christmas Mall was held at Kingdom Covenant Church in North Little Rock with the goal of giving gifts to underprivileged families and spreading the church’s message of love and hope.
It’s an opportunity for us to truly share the love of Jesus Christ with one another,” stated Pastor Tim Turner. Christmas is a wonderful time for our ministry to truly offer joy and happiness to children throughout our community, you know, and it truly is a message of hope.”
Since its opening in 2019, the Christmas Mall has expanded year, impacting the lives of numerous families who register in advance to pick up presents. “Today, we were able to be Jesus’ hands and feet,” said co-pastor Tameka Turner. Families were blessed with toys thanks to us. We had more than seventy bikes.
Partnerships with groups such as Gwatney, City Serve, and Toys for Tots enable the event.
“There’s all types of reactions,” Pastor Tim said, describing the emotional responses from families. Because of the assistance they receive, some of our families just cannot control their emotions. There are only happy tears and broad smiles, and they are incredibly appreciative of the chance to give their kids these presents.”
Kingdom Covenant Church is well-known for its outreach initiatives, which include holding a community day in October and earning the title of “Bread Church” for its year-round food distribution. “Every little bit goes a long way, and it helps to really impact those families who are in need,” Pastor Tim Turner said, underscoring the church’s goal. We have the power to change the world, you know.”
Tameka Turner continued, “We’re just grateful that God chose us, a little, small church with big hearts, so we’re excited every year to be able to give.”
The church’s continued dedication to community service was demonstrated this year when the Christmas Mall assisted about 50 families.
