Little Rock, Arkansas – With the Arkansas State Fair approaching, Miss Arkansas State Fair Allison Frazier is using her role to encourage young women to explore pageant opportunities, become involved in their communities and find ways to serve others.
Frazier, an 18-year-old Russellville native, is currently a student at Arkansas State University. Her ambitions extend beyond the pageant stage, as she hopes to pursue a career as a lawyer.
She has already built a varied list of accomplishments at a young age. In addition to holding the Miss Arkansas State Fair title, Frazier is a children’s book author and a nationally recognized speech and debate champion. She also previously served as a member of U.S. Sen. John Boozman’s Youth Cabinet.
Now, as the Arkansas State Fair prepares to welcome visitors this month, Frazier is focusing on what she can do with her platform.
For her, holding the title is less about receiving attention and more about using the opportunity to connect with other people.
Her favorite quote reflects that approach.
“Make someone feel like the crown is on their head, not yours.”
Frazier said she wants her time as Miss Arkansas State Fair to be centered on encouraging others and making people feel valued.

“It isn’t about staying in the spotlight, it’s about stepping into the crowd, connecting with others, and making them feel seen, heard, valued and loved,” she said.
The responsibilities of Arkansas State Fair titleholders go beyond pageant appearances. They serve as ambassadors for the fair and help promote many of the activities and traditions associated with the annual event.
That includes highlighting Arkansas agriculture, livestock exhibitions, arts and crafts, as well as opportunities for young people to become involved in different competitions and programs.
Titleholders also encourage participation in FFA and 4-H competitions, pageants and talent showcases. Those events provide young Arkansans with opportunities to demonstrate their skills, pursue their interests and become more involved in activities connected to the fair.

Frazier is using the weeks leading up to the event to highlight those opportunities while also promoting the importance of community service.
The Arkansas State Fair is scheduled to begin Oct. 16 at the Arkansas State Fairgrounds in Little Rock.
As opening day gets closer, Frazier will continue serving as an ambassador for an event that brings together agriculture, entertainment, competitions and long-standing Arkansas traditions.
For young women considering pageants or looking for another way to become involved, information about Arkansas State Fair pageants and the talent showdown is available through the fair’s official website.
