Little Rock, Arkansas – In March, the capital city will see a comeback of the SoMardi Gras Parade, which will offer a taste of New Orleans.
The SoMardi Gras Parade, Street Festival, and Beard Contest will take place at Rock Town Distillery from 10:30 to 5 p.m. on March 1, Saturday.
At noon, a procession with floats, costumes, and celebrations with a disco theme will begin. At 1 p.m., the Beard and Mustache Contest will start. From 12th to 17th Street on Main, there will be food trucks, merchants, and live music during the street festival. Additionally, there will be a kid-friendly area for kids to enjoy.
On Friday, February 28, from 6 to 9 p.m., there will be a pre-party fundraiser for the SoMa Postcard Mural before to the start of the SoMardi Gras Parade. If the mural is fully funded, it should be installed this year. We’ll reveal more information about the pre-party later.
SoMa may be found downtown Little Rock on South Main Street. The public is welcome to attend the free event.
