Pine Bluff, Arkansas – Fans hoping to see award-winning R&B and soul artist John Legend in Arkansas this summer will have to wait a little longer after organizers announced a change in schedule tied to a personal family loss.

On Thursday, June 11, Saracen Casino Resort confirmed that the upcoming performance planned for Saturday, June 13, has been postponed. The event, titled “An Evening With John Legend- A Night of Songs and Stories,” was expected to draw a large crowd to the Pine Bluff venue, but will now be held at a later date.

The resort said the decision was made “due to a death in John Legend’s family.” No further details were released, and the focus of the announcement remained on adjusting the schedule while respecting the situation.

The rescheduled performance is now set for Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026. Organizers noted that all previously purchased tickets will still be valid for the new date, allowing fans to keep their seats without needing to repurchase entry.

For those who are unable to attend the updated show, refund options have been made available. Ticket holders can request refunds through Ticketmaster, the official ticketing platform for the event.

While the postponement may be disappointing for fans who were looking forward to the June performance, casino officials emphasized the importance of honoring the circumstances that led to the change. The announcement quickly circulated among ticket holders and local entertainment followers, many of whom had been anticipating the singer’s return to the stage in Arkansas.

John Legend, known for his blend of R&B, soul, and piano-driven ballads, has built a long-standing reputation for emotionally rich live performances. His “An Evening With” shows typically feature a mix of music and storytelling, giving audiences a more personal look at his career and creative process.

The Saracen Casino Resort, which has hosted a variety of major entertainment acts, is expected to continue its lineup of concerts and events throughout the year, despite the adjustment in this schedule.

For now, fans will have to wait until 2026 to experience the performance as originally planned, with organizers expressing appreciation for the public’s understanding during the unexpected change.
