Jacksonville, Arkansas – The New Commandment After a year of reconstruction following the March 31 tornado in 2023, Jacksonville’s Community Church of God in Christ is celebrating beneath a rebuilt roof.
On the first Sunday service the church has held since its restoration, Pastor Eddie Miller preaches to the community, recalling how they felt following the devastation.
“For people to witness the events.” since folks witnessed the structure being demolished,” Miller added. They can now see the result of God’s work. For me, that is truly incredible.
For eight years, Candius Bass has been a part of the church.
We remained united as a church family. Bass stated, “We didn’t let that discourage us or bring us down.” And now see what God has accomplished for us.
According to Miller, $2.5 million was needed to get the church to its current location. The number of people who contributed to getting it there has just astounded him.
Bass added that the community’s support will continue. She intends to keep lending a hand however she can.
“Working with the babies, the Sunshine band, and choir rehearsals.” being in the kitchen. Simply carrying with our first lady’s and pastor’s instructions,” Bass stated.
