In October, Arkansas’ unemployment rate stayed constant

Little Rock, Arkansas – According to recent data, the unemployment rate in Arkansas did not change in October.

The Arkansas Department of Commerce reports that the unemployment rate remained constant at 3.3% from September. Additionally, the October unemployment rate in the US was steady at 4.1%.

As 3,092 more Arkansans were hired, the civilian force in Arkansas increased by 3,215, according to a report. Both employment and the civilian labor force remain at all-time highs.

According to the ADC, “these small increases were insufficient to affect the labor force participation rate or the unemployment rate, which both remained stable between September and October.”

Additionally, the survey revealed that 32,806 more people in the state are employed than in October 2023, contributing to a five-tenths of a percentage point increase in the state’s labor force participation rate.
