The closure is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. on Monday, December 8, and continue through 5 p.m. on Friday, December 12, weather permitting.
The temporary closure will allow crews to replace a drainage structure that has become necessary for road safety and proper water management. While the highway will be closed to through traffic, local traffic will still have limited access on either side of the construction zone.

Motorists needing to reach the east side of the closure are advised to take Highway 225 (E Main Street) west to Highway 65 (N Broadview Street) north, then continue east on Highway 285 to Blythe Road southeast, reconnecting with Highway 225. Those traveling to the west side should follow Highway 225 east to Blythe Road northwest, then west on Highway 285 to Highway 65 (N Broadview Street) south, back to Highway 225 (E Main Street).
Travelers are encouraged to pay close attention to the digital message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and other signage placed along the route to provide guidance and ensure safety. “These precautions are in place to keep both the construction crews and the traveling public safe during the work,” ARDOT officials said.
