Little Rock, Arkansas – Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has proposed a new law that is intended to provide lift access to downhill mountain biking parks in Arkansas.
Senate President Bart Hester and Representative John Maddox are the sponsors of the bill in the legislature, according to a news release.
Arkansas is rapidly becoming a popular place for outdoor activities in the United States.
Hester added, “I am happy to do my part in encouraging companies to invest in Arkansas, which is experiencing a surge in tourism.”
On Tuesday, February 4, the legislation was announced as part of Natural State Day at the Capitol.
