Entergy Arkansas hosts in-person bill assistance and customer care events to help residents manage winter energy costs

Little Rock, Arkansas – As temperatures begin to drop across Arkansas, Entergy is stepping in to help residents keep their homes warm without breaking the bank. The utility company has kicked off a series of in-person customer care events across the state, providing on-site assistance, tools, and resources aimed at supporting energy savings and offering bill assistance to those who need it most.

The first event took place Monday morning at the Arkansas State Fairgrounds, drawing hundreds of people eager to access support. Entergy representatives were on hand to guide customers through programs like the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), which provides financial flexibility and helps households manage energy bills during the colder months. The initiative is designed to give families a helping hand while also connecting them with resources to reduce energy costs in the long term.

“At each location, Entergy Arkansas customer service representatives will be available to help customers sign up for the LIHEAP assistance program. It is the main thing that’s going to help give customers the flexibility that they need with their billing services,” officials said. Customers attending the events are advised to bring a driver’s license or state-issued ID, a social security card or number, proof of income, and a copy of their most recent electric bill or leasing agreement to ensure they can receive assistance quickly.

Community outreach staff stressed that the events go beyond simply helping with payments. Attendees can learn about energy-saving options, budget-friendly strategies for home heating, and other programs that can make their monthly bills more manageable. By hosting these events in person, Entergy hopes to connect directly with residents, answer questions, and provide immediate support for families facing financial challenges.

Mashunda Jones, who was present at the opening event, emphasized the importance of these community-focused pop-ups. “The weather is changing, and we know that when the weather changes, sometimes we see increases in bills,” Jones said. “So that’s why we want to be here to assist customers with this help in case they are having some struggles. We know that times are hard right now and so we want to be a resource to be able to help customers where they are.”

Entergy’s outreach events also aim to foster stronger connections with the communities they serve. By bringing resources directly to neighborhoods and providing face-to-face assistance, the company is making it easier for customers to access programs they may not have been aware of or may have found difficult to navigate online. This approach is intended to reduce barriers and ensure that residents can receive the help they need promptly.

The utility company has said that these events will continue across various locations throughout the state in the coming weeks. Families, seniors, and individuals facing high heating costs are encouraged to attend and take advantage of the on-site resources. In addition to LIHEAP enrollment, Entergy representatives can answer questions about payment plans, energy efficiency programs, and other initiatives designed to support residents through the winter months.

With winter approaching, these customer care events highlight Entergy’s commitment to helping Arkansans manage energy costs while maintaining a safe and warm home environment. By offering accessible, in-person assistance and practical solutions, Entergy is ensuring that residents have the support they need to face the colder months with confidence.
