Conway, Arkansas – The Conway City Council will hold a special meeting on Monday, October 19, to consider a resolution concerning broker services for medical insurance for city employees. The meeting is scheduled for noon in City Council Chambers, according to the city’s announcement.

The resolution will bring the issue of insurance broker services before council members for consideration. The notice identifies city employee medical insurance as the subject of the meeting but does not describe the terms of the proposed arrangement.

Residents interested in following the proceedings will have several ways to watch remotely. The city announced that the meeting will be livestreamed on Facebook, YouTube and Conway Corporation Channel 22.

The announcement provides the meeting’s date, time and location, along with a link to the city’s meeting materials. Anyone seeking the agenda can visit the Conway meetings webpage, which the city directs readers to consult.

The notice does not name a proposed broker or provide a contract amount. It also does not outline a service period or describe any proposed changes to employees’ medical insurance benefits. Those details should not be assumed from the announcement alone.

The stated purpose of the special session is to consider the resolution. The announcement does not report that the council has already approved an agreement or selected a provider.

For city employees following the matter, the meeting will provide an opportunity to hear the council’s consideration of the proposed broker services. The livestream options will also allow other interested viewers to follow the proceedings without being in Council Chambers.

The noon start places the session in the middle of the day on Monday. Viewers planning to watch should note that the announced broadcast options include both online platforms and Conway Corporation Channel 22.

The official meeting announcement and linked agenda page provide the city’s information about the scheduled session.
