Conway, Arkansas – On Wednesday night, Central Arkansas defeated West Georgia 75-70 thanks to 18 points from Ben Fox.
For the Bears (6-16, 2-7 Atlantic Sun Conference), Fox shot 6 for 12, including 5 for 11 from beyond the arc.
Elias Cato finished with eight rebounds and 17 points on 7 of 12 shots, including 1 for 4 from 3-point range. Cole McCormick finished with 11 points, five rebounds, and three steals after going 4 of 8 from the field (3 for 4 from 3-point range). The win ended the Bears’ six-game losing streak.
Kyric Davis led the Wolves (4-18, 2-7) in scoring with 19 points at the end.
Shelton Williams-Dryden also contributed 17 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals for West Georgia.
In addition, Malcolm Noel had three steals, five assists, and ten points.
The next game for both teams is on Saturday. West Georgia travels to play Queens, while Central Arkansas travels to North Alabama.
