Benton, Arkansas – After months of anticipation, the City of Benton is one step closer to welcoming its first Buc-ee’s location. Contractors are nearly done with the groundwork and dirt work, just four months after the groundbreaking ceremony for the travel center. With all necessary permits now in hand, the project is moving forward rapidly, signaling the start of what will be a landmark addition to the area.
Located off exit 114 near Haskell, the highly-anticipated Buc-ee’s will create significant economic impact in the region. The travel center, which will be the first Buc-ee’s in Arkansas, is set to offer a wide array of services and amenities, including 120 fueling positions, thousands of snack and grocery items, fresh barbecue, fudge, and home décor. The location is expected to create around 250 new jobs, providing a boost to the local economy.
“We are happy to say that they have purchased and received all the required permits to start the building of the travel center, gas pumps, and parking lots,” said City of Benton officials. “Those permits include HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, and building construction. We expect to see noticeable changes on the property real soon.” The newly received permits pave the way for construction to begin, allowing for the next steps in the process to be implemented swiftly.
For locals and travelers alike, the arrival of Buc-ee’s promises to bring a unique and exciting experience to Benton. Known for its expansive convenience stores, the Texas-based chain is celebrated for offering a variety of products, from food and snacks to unique gifts and home goods, alongside clean and spacious restrooms.
Buc-ee’s, famous for its friendly atmosphere and top-notch customer service, is expected to quickly become a go-to stop for both residents and tourists. As construction progresses, the city and local businesses are gearing up for the grand opening, anticipating a significant influx of customers once the travel center is up and running.
